Privacy policy
This notice applies to the readers of this site and to the people who subscribe to our WhatsApp or email digest. It is written so that it can be read on its own, without any other document.
Who we are
Sahi Select is the operator of this website and of our WhatsApp channel. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below: we decide why and how it is processed.

What personal data we hold, item by item
- Your name — only if you give it to us.
- Your email address — if you subscribe to the digest.
- Your WhatsApp number — if you subscribe to the WhatsApp channel. We never ask for a number that is not yours to give.
- What you send us in the channel — the product links and the messages you send when you ask us for a verdict, and our reply to you.
- What you type into the on-page assistant — the text of one request, processed once to answer you.
- Logs — the request logs our host and our messaging provider keep so that the service works and can be secured.
We do not collect data from children. If a reader is under 18, a parent or guardian should hold the subscription and we will delete the record on request.
Why we hold it, and what each purpose enables
- To send you the weekly digest — this needs your email address or WhatsApp number.
- To answer a verdict request — this needs the product link you send and the message around it.
- To keep the service running and safe — this needs the request logs.
- To send you messages you have asked for — this needs your email address or WhatsApp number, and only for the kind of message you asked for.
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not sell it. If we ever want to share the subscriber list with a sponsor, we will ask you first, for that purpose only, and we will put the sponsor under the same written obligations we are under.
Your choices
You can withdraw consent, ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, nominate someone to act for you, or complain to the Data Protection Board. To do any of these, email the privacy contact below. To withdraw consent, use the unsubscribe link in any message we send — it takes effect immediately and stops the next send.
How long we keep it
We keep a subscriber record only while you are subscribed, and we delete it within 30 days of you unsubscribing or asking us to. We keep transaction and processing logs for one year, because we must be able to show what we did with your data, and then we erase them.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the person who needs it, message logs and records are retained for one year so that misuse can be detected, and every provider who touches your data is bound by a written contract to keep it under the same safeguards. If a breach affects you, we will tell you without delay and we will report it to the Data Protection Board, with detail within 72 hours of becoming aware.
What the hosting provider sees
Our pages are served as static files. The hosting provider processes the network request (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for abuse prevention and aggregate traffic reporting, as every web host must.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own on reading pages. If we ever add a tool that needs a cookie, we will say so on that page and add it to this policy before it ships.
Interactive tools
The on-page assistant tool sends the text you type, plus the product identifier, to our own server for one processing request. We do not store the text, we do not tie it to an identifier, and we do not use it for advertising. Model calls are made under a contract that forbids training on our prompts.
Affiliate tracking
Retailer links carry an affiliate identifier so we can be credited for a sale. That identifier is set when you click a link, in the retailer's own cookies. We do not receive your name, address or contact details.
